Acappella hymn singing is a rich and important part of our worship together as a community of faith. Because we recognize that people prefer to worship God in a variety of ways, our worship services also include singing accompanied by a numerous instruments - keyboards, drums, guitar, cello, flute, violin, etc. |

Music for Children and Youth |
Singing is an integral part of our programming for young people. Children enjoy singing in their Sunday School classes. During KIDS Church, which is held every other Sunday for children in kindergarten through grade five, the children learn to play bells and sing both favorite hymns and contemporary choruses. “In recent years, the children have performed several musicals including Down by the Creekbank in 2005 and Back to the Heart of Christmas in 2006. Jr MYF are invited to participate in our Boomwhacker Ensemble, which performs in worship services several times a year.”
Teens who participate in MYF (Mennonite Youth Fellowship) also enjoy singing together at their weekly Bible studies and on weekend retreats. Young people are regularly encouraged to use their vocal and instrumental gifts in providing music for worship throughout the year. |
